Young Professionals Network: A Year in Review

As we wrap up another incredible year at the Young Professionals Network (YPN), it is time to reflect on our achievements, growth, and the exciting moments that defined the past 12 months. From expanding our community to increasing our impact, this year has been one for the books.

Growth in Membership

Our network continues to grow, and this year was no exception. We proudly welcomed 285 new members, bringing our total membership to 862. This growth reflects the increasing desire of young professionals to connect, develop, and make a difference within their community through YPN.

Events

This year, YPN hosted an impressive 72 events, catering to a wide variety of interests and goals for our members. These events spanned across:

• Networking Events: Opportunities for our members to connect with professionals across industries and expand their professional circles.
• Personal and Professional Development: Workshops and seminars designed to help our members grow both personally and professionally, with topics ranging from Seat at the Tables with members of the Sioux Falls community to Focus Workshops talking about setting boundaries.
• Civic Engagement: This year, our civic engagement events focused on getting members actively involved in local and state politics. From sit downs with city & state officials to sessions on ballot measures, these events empowered our members to understand how local government works and how they can influence positive change

With a total of 2,550 attendees this year, our events were not just well-attended but also highly impactful, providing invaluable experiences for everyone involved.

Leadership Expansion

We also saw exciting developments within our leadership structure. YPN onboarded 8 new steering committee members, boosting our leadership team to a total of 22 dedicated individuals. These leaders have been pivotal in guiding YPN’s vision and executing the strategies that make our network thrive.

As we look to the future, YPN remains committed to fostering a supportive and dynamic community for young professionals. We are excited to continue offering diverse programming that caters to the personal and professional needs of our members while expanding our outreach and impact.
